Teds Big Day Out! 2008
Check your calendar, tell everyone you know; the countdown to Ted’s Biggest Ever Day Out! 2008 has begun! Taking place on Friday 17th October, this year’s event is going back to basics and it is guaranteed to make you want to carry your cuddly friend with you all day to help raise funds for premature and ill babies across the region.
Supporters can enjoy a fantastic day of fun and fundraising whilst really simply going back to basics and taking their teddies out for the day. It you fancy making your day even bigger by holding your own event, then go for it and help us to make this year Ted’s Big Day Out! the biggest the region has ever seen!
If you fancy going that extra step here are a few ideas to get your brain going in a big fundraising motion:
- Dress your teddy up as a ‘big’ figure, such as the President, the Pope, Darth Vader!
- Play giant board games
- Organise your schools biggest ever chain of students in one long line
- Hold the biggest ever cake sale
Buying and selling merchandise is another simple way in which you can join in the festivities. The Appeal has NICU t-shirts and enamel pin badges which we are happy to supply for sale. Whether you choose to play or purchase, make it big or keep it basic, there are limitless ways to enjoy Ted’s Biggest Ever Day Out! 2008. Please do your part and help us to raise funds for the NICU ‘space to grow’ Campaign which aims to build a new sustainable NICU, to help improve facilities for the 500 premature and desperately ill babies who depend on the unit at the RUH each year.
