Fundraising Ideas
Here are just a few groovy flower power themed fundraising ideas to give you a little inspiration and help you raise some money. The easiest of all being – pay just £1 to wear something flowery, but remember you can always do it the traditional way and pay £1 to take your teddy out for the day!
Raise money in your school or nursery:
- Wear your favourite flowery item for the day
- Dress your teddy in flowers
- Make some flowery accessories (hairbands or bracelets) and sell them to your class mates
- Hold a 60s / 70s themed day and dress up in traditional outfits
- Make a massive flower shape in your playground out of one and two pence pieces
- Plant a sunflower in the garden and hold a competition to guess how high it will grow

Raise money in your workplace:
- Wear a flower in your hair
- Put on anything flowery from your wardwrobe – shirts, skirts, ties or socks!
- Hold a 60s / 70s themed day at work and wear those flares, platforms, smocks and cheesecloths!
- Get your collagues to bring in a photo of them from the 60s/70s – and try to guess who is who!

Raise money with your friends, family or community group:
- Wear your favourite flowery item for the day
- Charge your friends a donation to paint their nails with flowery shapes
- Make some cakes with flowery decorations and sell their to your friends and family
- Get your friends and family to sponsor you dress up in your mum or dad’s clothes from the flower power decade – try to make yourself look as silly as possible!
