FUNDRAISING IDEAS
Here are just a few stripey fundraising ideas to give you a little inspiration and help you raise some money. The easiest of all being – pay just £1 to wear something stripey, but remember you can always do it the traditional way and pay £1 to take your teddy out for the day!
Raise money in your School or Nursery:
- Wear your favourite stripey pyjamas or outfit to school
- Tuck your trousers into your stripey socks for the day
- Paint the children and teachers faces stripey for the day
- Together with your class, dress up as your favourite stripey animals
- Lead a treasure hunt and place clues around the school for the teams to follow to find the ‘Stripey Treasure’ at the end
- Hold a cake sale and encourage parents, children and teachers to bake stripey cakes to sell at school
Raise money in your workplace:
- Wear anything stripey to work for the day
- Arrange a penalty box and charge your staff whenever they swear, ignore the phone, or don’t wear something stripey
- Arrange a quiz for everyone in the office to take part in - using the stripey quiz in ‘fundraising tools’ on this website
- Round up your stripey gifts and goodies and hold a raffle
- Challenge everyone in your office to say ‘in my stripey underwear’ at the end of each sentence – when people forget, charge them a penalty
- Board Room Bingo: Pick a list of words that are used on a daily basis, and throw in a few unusual ones. Then fill them out on a Bingo form, see who listens to every word you say and will win Bingo
Raise money with your friends, family or community group:
- Arrange a Pyjama Party and pull out your stripey PJ’s for an evening in
- Organise a fundraising bike ride, walk or run but do it all in stripey fancy dress
- Empty the hidden, stripey gems from your loft or garages and sell the items at a car boot sale
- Pick a friend and handcuff yourselves together for the day in some stripey convicts outfits - see if you can make it a full day together
- Paint your finger and toe nails – make them stripey!
