Thank you for your support on Ted’s Big Day Out! 2011

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that took part on Friday 14th October and helped raise funds the RUH ‘space’ for Cancer Care Campaign!

Schools, businesses and organisations across the catchment area took their teddies to work, school, wherever and got groovy with flower power to help us fundraise for a state-of-the-art Gamma-CT Scanner for the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

You all organised a wide variety of activities to celebrate the day including cake sales, fancy dress parties and quizzes to name but a few. On the day we had lots of things happening at the hospital and of course, Big Ted made a number of visits to organisations taking part in his Big Day Out! and I hope you, like he, had a blooming marvellous day!

All of your funds raised will go towards the £650,000 needed for a new Gamma-CT Scanner. A high-tech piece of diagnostic equipment that is particularly effective in pinpointing localised cancer, as well as investigating heart disease, non-cancerous tumours, bone pain and neurological disorders.

For all those that took part it’s quick and easy to pay-in the funds you have raised. Simply download our paying-in-form and return it, along with your cash / cheque to the Appeal or visit your nearest Natwest branch.

Thank you all again for your kind support, we hope you put next year’s date in your diary – Friday 19th October 2012 and you take your teddies out for the day once again!
